A Team-Driven Model

Each Capital Stewardship Campaign conducted by IOL Stewardship Services involves the use of several high impact teams. The number and specific type of teams will be customized to your campaign. The selection of the team members, leaders, and co-leaders is essential to the success of your program, and your IOL Consultant will assist you in recruiting and training each team member.

The Local Church campaign will begin with the following teams, and additional teams or sub-teams may be formed as the program unfolds.

Campaign Task Force
The initial team that we set up within a local church is called the Campaign Task Force. This is generally a large group of church members and leaders who agree to provide insight and feedback to the Senior Pastor and IOL Stewardship Services regarding the need for ministry expansion or relocation. The team also agrees to partnership in prayer regarding the future vision of the church and the financial resources necessary to make it a reality.

The Campaign Task Force may meet one or more times to pray over and discuss the need for facilities expansion, relocation, increased staffing, or expanded ministry programming. The feedback from the Task Force is then reviewed by the Senior Pastor and IOL to help determine if there is a strong spiritual commitment to launch an expansion initiative.

Campaign Management Team
The Campaign Management Team is selected by the Senior Pastor to provide management oversight of the Capital Stewardship Campaign. Team members are typically selected from the Campaign Task Force or other ministry positions within the church and represent those with spiritual gifts of leadership and administration.

The Team will meet on a regular basis with the pastoral staff, your IOL Consultant, and other team leaders. They will help manage the master calendar, major events, communications, and host other activities necessary to the ongoing program.

Creative Design Team
Visual communication is an essential part of every campaign. The use of high quality promotional materials, publications, and electronic media enable the church to effectively communicate the vision of the campaign to both the church and the community.

The Creative Design Team will be made up of talented individuals who will help design, develop, and publish the campaign's promotional materials and media. Their activities will include proof of concept, graphics design, production, proofreading, printing, photography, video recording, editing, and many other essential aspects of media communications.

Campaign Events Team
Successful stewardship campaigns are deeply rooted in the celebration of God's grace and blessings. After all, it is only by God's grace that we are allowed to serve Him in ministry and it is God alone who is the source of all our spiritual and material resources.

The Campaign Event Team will have the responsibility to help plan, coordinate, and oversee a number of celebration events throughout the life of the campaign. They will have a hands-on role in the small home group meetings conducted by the Senior Pastor, as well as the church-wide celebration that will involve the entire church and community.

Campaign Support Team
Very few things ever get done without a strong support network. The Campaign Support Team will consist of several task forces responsible for communication, service, hospitality, and other essential functions of the campaign.

Team members will work closely with the Campaign Events Team in planning and coordinating support activities necessary for successful events. They will also assist the Creative Design Team, Prayer Team, and Management Team in a variety of other functions.

Campaign Prayer Team
Every ministry within the local church is dependent on the foundation of prayer, and the capital stewardship campaign is no exception. If our goal is to discover God's will for our personal and corporate lives during the journey, then prayer must be at the heart of everything we do.

The Campaign Prayer Team is responsible for developing a church-wide prayer emphasis for the next 3 years. They will also help establish a spiritual climate within the church that will enhance the campaign and mobilize every member to deepen their walk with Christ through active prayer and fasting.
