Alan B. Scott (A.B.) has a rich background on the front line of ministry that makes him uniquely trained to assist local churches and Christian organizations clarify and pursue their God-given vision for ministry. 

Raised in the Presbyterian Church, A. B. came to Christ as a senior in high school, through his involvement in Young Life.  Immediately he became involved in ministry working with students in his high school and throughout college at Memphis State University, where he was on the Student Staff for Young Life.

After graduating in 1976, A. B. joined the staff of Young Life in Memphis where he served for 5 years, starting a new area in the suburbs east of Memphis.  In 1981 A. B. decided to go to seminary.  He enrolled in Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he received a Masters of Divinity degree in 1984.  While in seminary he continued to work full time with Young Life, starting an area in Evanston, Ill.  Evanston is a complex multi-racial suburb north of Chicago.

Upon graduating in 1984, A. B., went home to Memphis where he joined the staff of Second Presbyterian Church.  Second is a large, historic, church, and A. B. was the pastor for students and singles.  His area of ministry grew significantly, most of which is active even today.  Ministries were started at: Rhodes College, Memphis State, and UT Med school.  The singles ministry had over 300 singles in regular attendance.

In 1988, A. B. moved to Ponte Vedra Beach and started a church, Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church.  PVPC grew over 100 people a year for 14 years in a row.  Upon his departure the church had 28 acres of land, raised millions of dollars for 3 building programs, had a staff of 18 full time people, and saw many people come to Christ.

He has accomplished what many pastors and churches desire to do.  Presently, A. B. is working with IOL, running a business, and fathering 4 daughters.
